MEETING MINUTES
For February 13, 2020
I. CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Jim Carlson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Commissioners present were Carlson, and Dave Krell. Kynda Browning, Secretary, and Fire Chief, Josh Evans were in attendance.
II. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: Dave Krell made a motion to approve the minutes from the January 9, 2019, meeting as presented. Jim Carlson seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
III. PRESENTATION OF PETITIONS, APPLICATIONS, APPEALS, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC: There was none.
IV. COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE: There was none.
V. REPORTS FROM STAFF:
Josh Evans reported:
~6 calls this month.
There was discussion about the pension being paid for firefighters in district 2 and district 12. Browning will call the Board for Volunteer Firefighters for clarification on calls.
VI. OLD BUSINESS:
A. FREE FROM NIFRS OR PURCHASE FIRE AND EMS PACKAGE: Josh Evans said he is still researching this.
B. TABLETS: Debbie Roberts was not in attendance.
C. EXPIRING AED'S: Debbie Roberts is working on this.
VII. NEW BUSINESS:
A. APPROVE JOHNNA HORLACHER RETIREMENT: Dave Krell made a motion to approve Johnna Horlacher's retirement request. Jim Carlson seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
VIII. PRESENTATION OF VOUCHERS, WARRANTS, FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND REPORTS: Dave Krell made a motion to pay payroll vouchers 22384 to 22386 for $602.79 and vouchers 22387 to 22393 for $7,547.98. Jim Carlson seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
IX. COMMENTS FROM AUDIENCE: There were none.
X. ADJOURNMENT: Dave Krell made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m. Jim Carlson seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
