Spokane County Fire District No. 12

I. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Gregg Wernz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Waverly Town Hall.  Commissioners present at the meeting were: Wernz, and Ron Tee.  Also present was Kynda Browning, Secretary, Cindy Carlson, EMS Director and Don Evans, Fire Chief.   

II. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES:  The minutes from the July 7, 2014, commissioner meeting were presented.  Ron Tee made a motion to approve the July 7, 2014, commissioner meeting minutes as presented.  Gregg Wernz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.

III. PRESENTATION OF PETITIONS, APPLICATIONS, APPEALS, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC: There were none.

IV. REPORTS FROM STAFF:

Don Evans reported:

- There was discussion about the fuel for the trucks and the problems we have had with the trucks.  They talked about getting a slip tank and Gregg Wernz will check with Busch Fuel about delivery.

- There have only been a few minor fires.

- Not a lot of people coming to drills.

- Have had some medical calls. 

Cindy Carlson reported that we got the Aid Service Verification License.                                                

V. OLD BUSINESS:

There was none.                    

VI. NEW BUSINESS:

A. OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT TRAINING REQUIREMENT: Browning presented the Open Public Meetings Act training to the commissioners.  

Mike and Ryan Clausen will be farming Jerry Scheele's ground.                

VII. PRESENTATION OF VOUCHERS, WARRANTS, FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND REPORTS:  Payroll voucher numbers 21630 and 21631 totaling $446.33 and 21637 and 21638 totaling $446.33, and voucher numbers 21633 through 21636 totaling $7,649.41 and 21639 through 21642 totaling $2,358.96 were presented to the Commissioners for approval.  Ron Tee made a motion to approve the vouchers as presented. Gregg Wernz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.

VIII. ADJOURNMENT: Ron Tee made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m.  Gregg Wernz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
