Spokane County Fire District No. 12
MEETING MINUTES
For July 9, 2015
I. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Gregg Wernz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Waverly Town Hall. Commissioners present at the meeting were: Wernz, Tom Pottratz and Ron Tee. Also present was Kynda Browning, Secretary and Don Evans, Captain.
II. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: The minutes from the June 11, 2015, commissioner meeting were presented. Ron Tee made a motion to approve the June 11, 2015, commissioner meeting minutes as presented. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
III. PRESENTATION OF PETITIONS, APPLICATIONS, APPEALS, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC: There were none.
IV. REPORTS FROM STAFF:
Don Evans reported:
~It has been quieter this month.
~LD Anderson got his EMT certification.
~Airpacks - General Fire will only sell the most current version at $6000 apiece. General Fire will keep their eye out for some used ones.
~Has most of the pagers out. He said there have been no fires, only EMT calls.
~Said he sent all the phone information in, but he is waiting to hear back.
~Jeremy Brannon would like to join the department.
V. OLD BUSINESS:
A. SUMMER BBQ: Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. next week. Kynda Browning will buy the food.
B. COMBINING WITH FD2: Gregg Wernz has not talked to District No. 2 yet. He will try to have a meeting with them after harvest. There was discussion.
C. AIR PACK UPGRADE: Don Evans discussed this during his report.
VI. NEW BUSINESS:
A. AUGUST MEETING: There will not be an August meeting because of harvest.
VII. PRESENTATION OF VOUCHERS, WARRANTS, FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND REPORTS: Payroll voucher numbers 21734 through 21737 totaling $2,227.15 and voucher numbers 21738 through 21739 totaling $363.29 were presented to the Commissioners. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
VIII. ADJOURNMENT: Ron Tee made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:42 p.m. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
