Spokane County Fire District No. 12
MEETING MINUTES
For November 9, 2016
I. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Gregg Wernz called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. at the Waverly Town Hall. Commissioners present at the meeting were: Gregg Wernz, and Ron Tee. Also present was Kynda Browning, Secretary, Don Evans, Fire Chief and Cindy Carlson, EMS Director.
II. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: The minutes from the, October 13, 2016, commissioner meeting were presented. Ron Tee made a motion to approve the October 13, 2016, commissioner meeting minutes presented. Gregg Wernz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
III. PRESENTATION OF PETITIONS, APPLICATIONS, APPEALS, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC: There were none.
IV. REPORTS FROM STAFF:
Don Evans reported:
~Haven't heard anything back from the ratings bureau.
~He's trying to get pump tests done and waiting to hear if Fire District No. 8 can do it.
Gregg Wernz asked about getting the rescue rig from Fire District No. 2. Don Evans said he hasn't pursued it yet. There was discussion.
Cindy Carlson reported:
~There is a bill for over $700 in supplies. They will be doing new training on an Igel.
~She presented a form for the EMS calls that need to be filled out by the personnel.
Gregg Wernz said we have to have the EMS personnel have their sign offs for their training record each time they attend training.
V. OLD BUSINESS:
There was none.
VI. NEW BUSINESS:
A. PUBLIC HEARING FOR 2017 PRELIMINARY BUDGET: Gregg Wernz opened the public hearing. The commissioners reviewed the preliminary 2017 budget. Gregg Wernz closed the public hearing.
Reid Evans said when they signed up for the National Registry they paid $70.00 for it. The commissioners said they will reimburse him for it.
VII. PRESENTATION OF VOUCHERS, WARRANTS, FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND REPORTS: Payroll voucher numbers 21916 through 21945 totaling $14,686.72 and voucher numbers 21946 through 21949 totaling $2,511.45 were presented to the Commissioners for approval. Ron Tee made a motion to approve the bills as presented. Gregg Wernz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
VIII. ADJOURNMENT: Ron Tee made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:25 p.m. Gregg Wernz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
