MEETING MINUTES
For December 8, 2016
I. CALL TO ORDER: Ron Tee called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m. at the Latah Town Hall. Commissioners present at the meeting were: Ron Tee and Tom Pottratz. Also present was Kynda Browning, Secretary and Don Evans, Fire Chief.
II. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: The minutes from the, November 9, 2016, commissioner meeting were presented. Ron Tee made a motion to approve the November 9, 2016, commissioner meeting minutes presented. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
III. PRESENTATION OF PETITIONS, APPLICATIONS, APPEALS, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC: There were none.
IV. REPORTS FROM STAFF:
Don Evans reported:
~Took the trucks to General Fire to be pump tested.
V. OLD BUSINESS:
A. NUMBER OF MEETINGS FOR FIREMEN TO ATTEND: There was discussion. Ron Tee made a motion to change the requirement for the firemen to attend six trainings a year in order for the department to pay the pension. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
B. FIRE DINNER: We will discuss this next month.
VI. NEW BUSINESS:
A. PUBLIC HEARING FOR 2017 FINAL BUDGET: Ron Tee opened the public hearing. The commissioners reviewed the final 2017 budget. Tom Pottratz made a motion to approve the 2017 budget as presented. Ron Tee seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
VII. PRESENTATION OF VOUCHERS, WARRANTS, FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND REPORTS: Payroll voucher numbers 21950 through 21952 totaling $779.31 and voucher numbers 21953 through 21960 totaling $3,893.80 were presented to the Commissioners for approval. Ron Tee made a motion to approve the bills as presented. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
VIII. ADJOURNMENT: Ron Tee made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:35 a.m. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
