Spokane County Fire District No. 12
MEETING MINUTES
For September 15, 2016
I. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Gregg Wernz called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m. at the Waverly Town Hall. Commissioners present at the meeting were: Gregg Wernz, Tom Pottratz and Ron Tee. Also present was Kynda Browning, Secretary and Don Evans, Fire Chief.
II. APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES: The minutes from the, July 14, 2016, commissioner meeting were presented. Ron Tee made a motion to approve the July 14, 2016, commissioner meeting minutes presented. Gregg Wernz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes. No meeting was held in August.
III. PRESENTATION OF PETITIONS, APPLICATIONS, APPEALS, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC: There were none.
IV. REPORTS FROM STAFF:
Don Evans reported:
~The Yale Road fire started on a Sunday afternoon and he reported that they helped with it. We will get paid for having our truck on the fire. They took the truck back for three more days. There was an issue with Brush 12-2, so they came back and used Brush 12-3. He said everything else ran fine.
~Radios - said we have three new EMTS that we need portables for and they gave us three radios for the EMTS to use.
~We will be getting AM22 ambulance from Fairfield. We need to get the paperwork done with DNR so we can have it.
V. OLD BUSINESS:
A. POLICY MANUAL: Don Evans went through the policy manual and highlighted things that need to be changed. Ron Tee made a motion to make the suggested changes. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all council members voted yes.
VI. NEW BUSINESS:There was none.
VII. PRESENTATION OF VOUCHERS, WARRANTS, FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND REPORTS: Payroll voucher numbers 21891, 21894 totaling $456.36 for August 2016 and 21895 and 21896 for September 2016 totaling $456.36 and voucher number 21892 and 21893 totaling $7,350.61 for August and 21897 through 21905 for September, totaling $8,292.55 were presented to the Commissioners for approval. Ron Tee made a motion to approve the bills as presented. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
VIII. ADJOURNMENT: Ron Tee made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:02 a.m. Tom Pottratz seconded the motion; all commissioners voted yes.
